Key Art

I saw this on Pinterest months ago and knew it was something I wanted to make.

This is so easy and sweet. Just use the keys from everywhere you've lived.

There are lots of moves in our future, and I think this is a nice way to remind ourselves of where we have been. So here is  my version.

I had an old frame but had lost the glass and the backing. I have kept it around for a while thinking it would be fun for a craft. It ended up being perfect for this. I covered regular cardboard in burlap and used hot glue to attach it to the back of the frame.

I cut paper into a tag shape and wrote the location for the key on the paper. I just used basic floral wire to create a hook for the key. I just hooked the key through the holes in the burlap. I like this setup because I can move the keys as we add more to our collection.

This was really easy, and I can't wait to hang it up. I haven't finished hanging stuff up yet, but will definitely do a post with the finished product. I love finally being able to complete so many of these DIY's that I have been pinning for MONTHS. I have been working on my mason jar herb garden, which is happily sitting in my kitchen window now.
