I was so excited to find so many amazing milspouse blogs through the blog hop earlier this month. I am hoping that some of y'all will help me out. I am trying to figure out what I will wear to the Squadron Ball. I am planning on wearing a white dress, and was told in the protocol class that white was perfectly acceptable. However, I don't want to look like a wanna-be bride. Here is the dress:

I fell in love with this dress years ago, and purchased it for VMI's Ring Figure Ball. I got it during an incredible sale from Bluefly. It fits me perfectly, and I only wore it once. Question, is it too bridal-ly for the Ball? Have y'all worn white or seen other women wear white?
I haven't seen a lot of ladies in white at balls, but if you love it, I think you should wear it!
ReplyDeleteI think if you dress it up with some jewelry- chunky, enamel bright colored jewels like turquoise or coral (necklace and bracelet or earrings and bracelet) could be perfect- it will de-emphasize any bridal connotations and just make you look summery!
I have never been to a ball, so i cannot answer some of your questions, but I do not think it looks too bridal! If you like it wear it! You look great!

I think it's pretty friend!! You can even spruce it up by adding pops of color in a statement necklace or a belt perhaps? I love the details in the top portion!
